Donald Trump Tells Colin Kaepernick To Leave The Country
Colin Kaepernick has been a major source of controversy this year, with many Americans outraged with his attempts to thwart the National Anthem. Donald Trump has responded to his protests by saying the football player should “find a country that works better for him.”
Trump has also called the player’s decision to sit during the anthem a “terrible thing,” and argued that finding a country better than ours “won’t happen.”
Still, Kaepernick has promised to sit through the national anthem for “as long as he feels it is appropriate” and “until he sees significant progress.” But many believe that spitting on the face of those who fight for this country is not the way to go.
Even fellow football stars have spoken out against Kaepernick’s actions. Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward commented that he can “respect” Kaepernick’s cause but “does not agree with the method he chose.”
“Don’t disrespect the whole country or the organization that’s paying you millions of dollars,” Ward argued.
Jerry Rice also stood up for Old Glory, tweeting, “All lives matter. So much going on in this world today; can we all just get along!”
What do you think? Are you tired of Kaepernick disrespecting this country?
