Vladimir Putin Has A Change Of Heart After Meeting With Rex Tillerson
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson traveled to Russia to reason with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Although the liberal media were insisting Putin was against the tette-a-tette meeting, this is not true at all. The two politicians met in Moscow Wednesday.
“Russian President Vladimir Putin is meeting US Secretary of State Tillerson and Russian Foreign Minister [Sergey] Lavrov at the Kremlin,” noted Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov.
“We have not announced any such meetings and right now there is no meeting with Tillerson in the president’s diary,” Peskov told reporters on Monday, dismissing the potential for such a meeting. He added that “returning to pseudo-attempts to resolve the crisis by repeating mantras that Assad must step down cannot help sort things out,” referring to a sit down with Tillerson and Putin and how it would be fruitless.
“It can be said that the level of trust at the working level, especially at the military level, has not become better but most likely has degraded,” President Putin told a Russian state television channel.
Prior to this meeting, Tillerson met with Lavrov.
In 2013, President Putin gave Secretary Tillerson the Russian Order of Friendship award.
Although the situation at the moment indicates a possible trouble in paradise for Russia the US and Syria, it seems the two men found a common ground.
Russia was even notified when America launched a missile on Syria a little over a week ago.
The Syria strike was due to their leader’s nasty ways and nuclear testings that killed more than 70 of his own people.
President Trump said Assad was a “butcher” and “truly an evil man.”
“Putin is backing a person [Assad] that’s truly an evil person. And I think it’s very bad for Russia. I think it’s very bad for mankind. It’s very bad for this world,” proclaimed Trump, adding, “I think aligning yourself [Putin] with Assad is a big mistake because he’s a butcher.”
What do you think? Is Putin finally burying the hatchet?
