O’Reilly Out And About! Former Fox News Host At The Mets Game
Bill O’Reilly made an unconventional public appearance at the New York Mets game in the middle of towering sexual harassment lawsuits from numerous women.
The humilliated ex – Fox News host, 67, smiled during the game with ex-co-worker Geraldo Rivera on Monday and even posed for pictures with fans at CitiField.
He has been trying to avoid attracting attention since he got fired from Fox News in April after it surfaced that he and the network had to pay about $13million to cover up harassment suits from 5 women.
Rivera published the picture on his Twitter account on Monday, along with the description ‘Let’s go Mets’.
O’Reilly has been doing work on his rebooted No Spin News podcast from the moment that he was ousted from Fox News a month ago.
In the initial episode of his podcast he stated that he was ‘surprised’ to have been dismissed.
His words were: ‘I am sad that I’m not on television anymore. I was very surprised how it all turned out. I can’t say a lot, because there’s much stuff going on right now. But I can tell you that I’m very confident the truth will come out, and when it does, I don’t know if you’re going to be surprised – but I think you’re going to be shaken, as I am. There’s a lot of stuff involved here.’
O’Reilly, who had served Fox News from 1996 and savored huge success as the hot-tempered anchor of commentary show. The O’Reilly Factor, obtained a $25 million payout when he was dismissed. That took place two and a half weeks after The New York Times exposed that he and Fox News had paid out close to $13 million to hush a string of sexual harassment suits.
O’Reilly declined the claims, but advertisers – frightened by a campaign made by an anonymous Twitter account Sleeping Giants -left his show to die.
